who we are...
Our venture has assembled a competent, experienced team of students from the Franklin W. Olin College of Engineering to oversee the operations of Go Green. Each student on our team delivers a unique set of talents, skills, and personalities to the table. As a unit, we have considerable prior experience with green projects, sustainable technology, non‐profit organizations and community outreach efforts.
The Team

Director of Operations
Phil is a freshman at Franklin W. Olin College of Engineering who is originally from Jenison, MI. As a young, energy‐conscious person he is very interested in doing his part to reduce energy usage and make the world a better place to live. His past experience has included volunteer work to reduce pollution and illegal dumping and more recently researching ways that households and small businesses can significantly reduce their impact on the environment. He is very excited to explore his entrepreneurial spirit by starting this business and being involved every step of the way.
Product Development Team

Brian is currently a sophomore at Olin College of Engineering majoring in Materials Science & Engineering. Brian’s focus in work so far has been in nano‐scale electronics and energy solutions. His love for materials science drives him to learn more research into new and advanced materials and how they can be used as energy solutions. His work over the summer as an intern for an electrical firm exposed him to the steps people can take to save energy and money through eco‐friendly solutions. Brian is excited to take his experiences and knowledge in energy solutions to make Go Green a successful startup.

Jen is a sophomore at Olin concentrating in bioengineering. She has always had an interest in green building, fueled by personal, energy neutral “house in tree” projects and involvement in Olin campus recycling efforts. She is excited to help others learn the simple ways to 11
make their homes greener and hopes her part in product design and execution will better the Needham and Wellesley community.

Allison is a junior majoring in Electrical and Computer Engineering. As the President of Olin’s club promoting sustainability and appropriate technology, Olin Students for Awesome, and a member of a team developing a composting system for Olin’s food waste, Allison is excited about expanding her efforts in the field of green technology. She hopes to improve community awareness of energy concerns and help people make a substantial decrease in their environmental impact. Allison also has ties to local groups interested in increasing environmental awareness and impact reduction.
External Relations Team

Marco is a sophomore at Franklin W. Olin College of Engineering. Though ventures such as IdeaTree Design, Olin Services and Olin Tutoring Squad, he has been exposed to many hurdles startups face from the tangible to the harder to describe. From incorporation and intellectual property, to effective work distribution and team motivation, these ventures have given him exposure to how to (not) do things in a business venture. This expertise and experience from creating and implementing external relations plans for both the PGP Office and Olinʹs Phoenix Racing Team is what he brings to Go Green.

Colden is a freshman at Olin who is interested in environmentally‐friendly initiatives. He has worked with school recycling programs and lives an energy‐conscience lifestyle at home. He has done research on green energy. His experience founding a Math Club gives him familiarity with starting from scratch. Colden is excited to be part of this team and is looking forward to the future.

Hari is a first year student at the Olin College of Engineering and has a strong interest in alternative energy and sustainable development. He plans on studying engineering and business in college, and hopes to pursue a career in a social enterprise. Hari started a service organization in his sophomore year of high school, where he received experience in management and people relations. Hari is enthusiastic about participating in Go Green, and hopes that this service will make citizens more aware of the benefits of becoming energy efficient.
Finances

Nitin is a freshman at the Olin College of Engineering. As the captain of his high school debate team for three years, he has developed management and organizational skills that are important qualities in a start‐up venture. Furthermore, he also developed research skills as a member of the debate team, which will be useful when consulting homeowners on the best energy solutions. His previous summer internship at Prime Photonics, LC gave him a chance to experience working for a small business. Nitin hopes to be able to contribute to sustainable development and household energy solutions as a member of Go Green.
